Dit is de Non-Stop RNI Top 50 van 17 April 1971, wederom een Top 50 in “breed formaat”. Dat het songfestivaltijd is merk je onder andere aan de hoogste nieuwe binnenkomer. Olijfje komt nieuw binnen op nummer 41 met het mooie “If not for you”.

An edition of "Nordsee goes DX" is broadcast on shortwave at 10.00am today. The Super Top 50 show from 15.00 to 18.00 today is hosted by Crispian St John, who presents it in a slightly different way, including some hitbound sounds amongst the Top 50 hits.

There is a promo announcing a new programme schedule from 1 May, which will be 16.00 Stevi Merike, 18.00 Alan West, 20.00 Crispian St John, 22.00 Tony Allan, 24.00 to 3.00 Dave Rogers. Tuesday 27 April 1971

RNI is now proudly announcing itself as "The original sound of a young progressive Europe". Programme schedule is the same as yesterday. New records now on board from Dave Mason & Mama Cass, Third World War and Brett Marvin & the Thunderbolts.

Wednesday 28 April 1971

It is reported in the music press today that Martin Kayne has now left RNI as he is dissatisfied with its musical policy. The station plans to sign two new British DJs, but their names are not known yet. The programme schedule is the same as yesterday and news is read by Tony Allan, Crispian St John and Alan West.

Thursday 29 April 1971

Alan West and Crispian St John leave on the tender and Stevi Merike returns. Also coming out to the Mebo 2 today is a new DJ, Roger Kirk, who has been on BBC Radio 1. The programme schedule today is:

6.00 Tony Allan

9.00 Jan Van Veen

12.00 Joost de Draaier

14.00 Ferry Maat

16.00 Tony Allan

18.00 Roger Kirk

21.00 Stevi Merike

24.00 - 2.00 Dave Rogers

News is read by Tony Allan. Tony also announces that a new DJ, named Paul Holland, will broadcast the early morning breakfast show on Saturday.

Friday 30 April 1971

Strangely, there is no mention of Roger Kirk at all today. Instead Dave Rogers is on from 16.00 to 18.00 and Tony Allan from 18.00 to 21.00. Tony Allan is very sad on his breakfast show this morning that this will be the last one that he will be presenting. News is read by Tony Allan and Dave Rogers. New records on the Mebo 2 by Edwin Starr and Curved Air today.

Saturday 1 May 1971

Programme changes from today. The new schedule for Saturday is:

6.00 Peter Holland (6.30 to 7.00 Johan Maasbach)

9.00 Jan Van Veen

12.00 Joost de Draaier (Super Top 50 and tips)

16.00 Stevi Merike

18.00 Dave Rogers (sitting in for Alan West)

20.00 Stevi Merike (sitting in for Crispian St John)

22.00 Tony Allan

24.00 - 3.00 Dave Rogers

So the new Dutch DJ is Peter Holland, not Paul. Lots of new jingles introduced today, as well as news about the mobile discotheque. It is announced this evening that an oldies show will start next week. News is read today by Tony Allan and Dave Rogers.
