De hoogste nieuwe binnenkomer deze week vinden we op 28 : Horse with no name van America. Twee van de kanskaarten zijn karnavalsnummers en d'r komen er nog wel meer de komende weken. Tussen de kanskaarten vinden we deze week overigens geen "obscure" nummers. Het plaatje Betsie Oh Betsie, waarvoor reklame gemaakt wordt, is voor mij volledig onbekend.

No 44 by the Congregation was a big hit in the UK and also made the US Top 30, but didn't feature in the Veronica Top 40 or Tipparade. Also interesting to see how the first new hits of 1972 (Dizzy Man's Band, Tony Marshall, Melanie) were really shooting up the Top 50 in this week.

International Service programmes are the same as Thursday evening, with the addition of a Skyline programme from 3.00 to 7.00, presented by Mike Ross. A mobile discotheque today features Brian McKenzie and Ferry Maat.
