McCartney is deze week de hoogste nieuwe op nummer 13. Op 40 komt Love Story
van Andy Williams nieuw binnen. Lally Stott stoot Danyel Gerard van de eerste
plaats deze week met zijn uitvoering van Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep. Bram in de
Rai van Paul van Vliet staat op nummer 44 deze week, een bijzondere plaat
voor een Top 50 notering. Op nummer 16 in de playlist heb ik L.A. Goodbye van
de Ides of March gezet. Een werkelijk prachtig nummer dat hier in NL redelijk

St John has a new promo on his show at 16.00 today, based on an advert that
RNI had in 1970 featuring the voice of Mark Wesley that starts "You
can't help noticing how as each day progresses driving becomes less of a
pleasure". In 1970 this was an advert for Sony, but it has now been
revived for a drive time promo, with Alan West cutting in before Sony is

"Sweet Caroline" added to the playlist, as it has been reissued in
the UK. Wednesday 24 March 1971 All of the hitbacks
on the Crispian St John show today come from 1964.
Tomorrow they will come from 1965 and so on, until next Wednesday, 31 March,
they will all come from 1970. Thursday 25 March 1971 The tender failed to come out today due
to bad weather, but it is hoped that there will be a tender tomorrow. New
records by T Rex and Dusk introduced to the playlist. The outcome of the legal case between RNI
and Radio Veronica was expected today, but there is no word on RNI about it. Friday 26 March 1971 The tender does come out today, but there
is no change in DJs. It is now hoped that the DJs can change on Monday. New
records do come out on the tender, though, from Olivia Newton-John, Three Dog
Night, Cliff Richard, Yvonne Elliman, Dawn, Brass
Monkey, Jumbo, Emmitt Rhodes (both "Fresh as a daisy" and
