Op 43 komen de
Buggies binnen met Julie July, een leuk plaatje. Een andere mooie plaat
vinden we nieuw binnen op nummer 41, The Bannerman van Blue Mink. Jammer
totaal verschillende : Graham Nash en The Sweet. Ferry Maat heeft een hele
mooie kanskaart uitgekozen : Lady of the morning van Marvin, Welch &
Farrar oftewel The Shadows Part II. Deze Top 50 kun je hier beluisteren: Onder de TOP 50 kun je de herinneringen van Michael
Downing lezen uit de tijd dat deze Top 50 werd uitgezonden en daaronder een
paar scans uit de MP van Juni 1971. |

service is presented by Jan Van Veen. International service programmes
this evening are: 16.00 Mike Ross 18.00 Dave Rogers 20.00 Crispian
St John 22.00 Tony Allan 24. 00 – 3.00 Dave Rogers The last hour of the Dave Rogers show is

this” from 18.00 to 19.00 and Dave Rogers on the LP show from 19.00 to 20.00.
From 20.00 programmes follow the same pattern as
last night. All of the English speaking DJs on board read news during the
course of the afternoon and evening. Monday 14 June 1971 Dave Rogers says that he thinks that he
will have to drop his “I’ll have to smack your botty”
catchphrase as he thinks that it is too rude. Newsreaders this evening are
Tony Allan and Mike Ross. Tuesday 15 June 1971 Today is Stevi Merike’s wedding anniversary, so the four English
speaking DJs on board sing him a happy anniversary song at about 22.30. Every
hitback in tonight’s Tony Allan show is by the
Beatles. Tony Allan and Mike Ross are the newsreaders again this evening. Wednesday 16 June 1971 Nothing special to note. Mike Ross reads
news. Thursday 17 June 1971 Alan West and Stevi
Merike return on the tender. Also coming out to the
Mebo 2 today is a new DJ, Mark Stuart. Crispian St John and Tony Allan go off – perhaps Tony has
now left, as he hasn’t been featured on the promo at the start of the
International service for several weeks. Tonight’s programmes
are: 16.00 Mike Ross 18.00 Alan West 20.00 Mark Stuart 22.00 Stevi Merike 24.00 – 3.00 Dave Rogers Dave Rogers and Mike Ross read the news. Friday 18 June 1971 Ferry Maat
talked about a “World Service” in his programme
this afternoon, but there is no mention in the International service. Dave
Rogers is tonight’s newsreader. |
