Op 50 komt een ander “stevig” nummer binnen, can you do it van Geordie. Shariff Dean staat onveranderd op nummer 1, echter Going home van de Osmonds staat wel te dringen op nummer 2. De laatste opname van Dr Hook komt binnen op nummer 2 in de Troef 20 en gaat over Roland en Trudie. Malaguena van de Spaanse Los Angeles, begeleid door de Sandy Coast, is deze week de kanskaart van Tony Berk. En de Belgische Salix Alba zingen deze week de kanskaart van Ferry Maat vol met I can’t resist.

Following the passing of the Anti-Zeezendeer Wet a month earlier, the programmes of the Dutch service of RNI continued unaltered throughout the summer of 1973, with no DJ changes and the following schedule during the week:

6.00 Buitengaats (live from the Mebo 2, presented on alternate weeks by Gerard Smit and Marc van Amstel)

9.00 Branding

10.00 Dorsnee Noordzee (Peter Holland)

12.00 Berk in Uitvoering (Tony Berk)

14.00 Herrie met Ferry (Ferry Maat)

16.00 Driemaster (live from the Mebo 2, presented on alternate weeks by Leo van der Goot and Dick de Graaf)

Hans ten Hooge and Hans Molenaar were newsreaders and presented programmes when other DJs were unavailable or on holiday. The "Hou 'm in de lucht" campaign continued throughout the summer.

The Super Top 50 show on Saturday 28 July 1973 was hosted, as usual, by Ferry Maat and the Troef 20, whch formed part of Driemaster on Saturdays, was presented by Dick de Graaf, on board and Driemaster host that week.

The International service lost Arnold Layne in July 1973 and was temporarily down to four DJs, Mike Ross, Don Allen, Brian McKenzie and Graham Gill. Rob Eden would return to the Mebo 2 for a period during the week commencing 28 July 1973, before a replacement for Arnold joined in August.

The International service Top 30, broadcast from 20.00 to 22.00 on Friday, was hosted by Mike Ross on Friday 27 July 1973. The Smash Play for the week was "Maybe Tomorrow Maybe Tonight" by Earth and Fire, well known to RNI listeners since February, but now released in the UK. The Top 30 was similar to the official UK chart, but had a few records at the bottom end of the chart which were not UK hits, such as "Such a night" by Dr John at number 20, "Man of renown" by Writing on the Wall at number 25, "The Hurt" by Cat Stevens at number 29 and "Sweet William" by Andy Bown at number 30. DJ hitpicks had been discontinued in June 1973, replaced by station hitpicks, which this week included "Rumours" by Hot Chocolate. "Clouds" by David Gates and "To know you is to love you" by Syreeta Wright.
