Gerard Cox komt
eerste plek verstoten door Demis Roussos met My friend the wind. Wovoka van
Redbone is deze week de treiterschijf. Ik ben wat verrast door de kanskaart
keuze van Ferry Maat deze week, vind het niet echt een Ferry plaat : Lynsey
de Paul met Won’t somebody dance with me.

The RNI memories
of Michael Downing for this period Saturday 13 October 1973 Apart from the Treiterschijf
and Smash Play, the records that I have heard most on RNI over the past week
have been:
Hans Molenaar
presents Buitengaats this morning. Ferry Maat is back from his holiday and presents the Super Top
50 show today, but Ted Bouwens is still on the Muziek Parade programme
immediately after the Top 50. Dutch newsreaders today are Gerard Smit and Hans Molenaar and
International Service programmes tonight are: 20.00 Robin Banks 22.00 Don Allen (Country’n’Western
Jamboree) 24.00 Graham Gill 2.00 Brian McKenzie 4.00 – 7.00 Robin Banks Sunday 14 October 1973 The complete programme
schedule today is: 7.00 Peter Holland 9.00 Hans Molenaar
(Buitengaats) 11.00 Andre Van Duin 12.00 Dick de Graaf
(Nederlandstalig) 14.00 Peter Holland
& Nico Steenbergen (De zondag middag toestand) 16.00 Piet Romer
(Met Piet in zee) 18.00 Leo van der
Goot (Driemaster) 20.00 Mike Ross (Hitback
Show) 22.00 Graham Gill (Request Show) 24.00 – 3.00 Brian McKenzie News during the recorded Hitback Show is read by Robin Banks at 21.00 and Graham Gill
at 22.00. Monday 15 October 1973 Tonight’s International Service programmes are: 20.00 Robin Banks 22.00 Brian McKenzie 24.00 – 3.00 Graham Gill There is a lot of filming going on aboard
the Mebo 2 today, although nobody is saying who or
what for. Tuesday 16 October 1973 Leo van der Goot and Hans Molenaar go off
on the tender on shore leave and Marc van Amstel
and Dick de Graaf return. Dick de Graaf therefore takes over Driemaster.
Dutch Service news is read by Gerard Smit, Hans Molenaar and Marc van Amstel. Nico Steenbergen features only
LP tracks in the second hour of De dinsdag avond toestand. Wednesday 17 October 1973 Marc van Amstel
is back on Buitengaats this morning. Dutch
newsreaders today are Marc van Amstel and Gerard Smit. The weather on the North Sea today is very rough. Thursday 18 October 1973 It would appear that Tony Berk is on holiday, as his programme
is presented by Peter Holland, although Tony is still heard on the Prijsbewust section at 13.00, which has obviously been
recorded in advance. Again the weather on the North Sea is very rough today. Friday 19 October 1973 Again very bad weather today – a Force 8
followed by a Force 9. Hence there is no tender today and also no tape for
this evening’s Nico Steenbergen
programme from 18.00 to 20.00, so this is presented
live by Gerard Smit. International Service programmes are: 20.00 Graham Gill (Top 30) 22.00 Brian McKenzie (Rock’n’Roll
Special) 24.00 Graham Gill 3.00 – 6.00 Robin Banks Then the new records that I heard for the
first time on RNI between Saturday 13 and Friday 19 October 1973 were:
