Op 41 en 43 verwelkomen we twee Nederpop nummers in de Top 50, Hit the big time van Catapult en House of the king van Jan Akkerman. Dynamite van Mud staat deze week onveranderd op nummer 1, hoewel de Hollies flink opstomen in de Top 50 en deze week op nummer 2 staan met The air that I breathe. Seasons in the sun van Terry Jacks is deze week de treiterschijf. Op nummer 16 in de Troef 20 verwelkomen we Tony Berk met Aan het einde van de regenboog.

On the International service, Brian McKenzie, Graham Gill and Robin Banks were on board. Graham Gill presented the Toppers 20 show from 20.00 to 22.00 on Friday 1 March, which had "The air that I breathe" by the Hollies at no. 1 and seven new entries, by Wings, Elton John, Aretha Franklin, the Carpenters, Barry Blue, Hot Chocolate and Carly Simon and James Taylor, although Aretha Franklin's "Until you come back to me" was not on board and was therefore not played. The Top 10 albums were, as usual, from a diverse range of artists, including Kenny Loggins and Jim Messina, Earth and Fire ("Atlantis", by then almost a year old), Bachman-Turner Overdrive, Charlie Rich, Ralph McTell, Roy Harper, Peter Hamill, Jerry Lee Lewis and Philip Goodhand-Tait.

The Troef 20 was introduced by Leo van der Goot in the Saturday edition of Driemaster as usual and Ferry Maat presented the Super Top 50.
