Man of Action draaiden de DJs, waarvan
Peret is

The RNI memories
of Michael Downing for this period Saturday 11 September 1971 Programmes
this evening; 18.00 Mark Stuart 20.00 Mike Ross 22.00 Crispian
St John 24.00 – 3.00 Rob Eden Crispian
St John and Mark Stuart revive something last done by Alan West and Stevi Merike in April 1971 –
light flashing, in which they invite people driving in Scheveningen
to flash their lights at the Mebo 2 and Mark will
flash a light back, whilst being connected to Crispian
and the studio via a telephone link. News is read by Crispian
St John and Rob Eden. A mobile discotheque this evening features Peter
Holland and Dave Rogers. Sunday 12 September 1971 Karel
Prior is on holiday and his programme this morning
is presented by Joost Verhoeven.
There are two mobile discotheques today – one in the afternoon with Peter
Holland and Joost Verhoeven
and one in the evening featuring Ferry Maat and
Dave Rogers. Programmes
this evening are: 18.00 Rob Eden (In Concert) 19.00 Crispian
St John (British Top 20) 21.00 Mike Ross (Hitback
Show) 22.00 Crispian
St John 24.00 – 3.00 Rob Eden Mark Stuart is not featured at all in
this evening’s programmes as the sea is very rough
and he is feeling unwell. He should have presented “In Concert” instead of
Rob. The featured artists on the In Concert programme
today are Joe Cocker and Carole King. The Peter Holland and Ferry Maat hitpicks are not played in
the Top 20 programme and the three Driemaster DJs share a hitpick
this week. Also Rob Eden now has a hitpick jingle.
Newsreaders this evening are Mike Ross and Rob Eden. Monday 13 September 1971 Mark Stuart is back on the 18 00 to 20.00
show tonight, so obviously he is feeling better. Crispian
St John referred to “a new and exciting RNI” on the way in his programme – is he perhaps talking about the new medium
wave transmitter that is rumoured to be about to be
switched on? Newsreaders this evening are Crispian
St John, Rob Eden and Mark Stuart. Tuesday 14 September 1971 A mobile discotheque today features Ferry
Maat and Dave Rogers. Programmes
and newsreaders are the same as last night. Wednesday 15 September 1971 Nico
Steenbergen returns to the Mebo
2 and Leo van der Goot
goes off on shore leave. This means that Hans ten Hooge
takes over Driemaster. International service programmes and newsreaders are the same as last night. Thursday 16 September 1971 Mike Ross and Rob Eden go off on shore
leave and Dave Rogers and Paul May return. This means that the International
service programmes now become: 18.00 Mark Stuart 20.00 Paul May 22.00 Crispian
St John 24.00 – 3.00 Dave Rogers Namechecks
for Roger Day and Ronan O’Rahilly in the Crispian St John show this evening. News tonight is read
by Crispian St John, Dave Rogers and Mark Stuart. Friday 17 September 1971 Ferry Maat
returns to his 14.00 to 16.00 programme after his
holiday today and Tony Berk, who has been
presenting it in Ferry’s absence, takes over the Peter Holland breakfast programme as Peter has now gone on holiday. Tonight’s namechecks in the Crispian St
John show are for Alan West and Stevi Merike. Programmes and newsreaders
as last night. The medium wave and shortwave transmitters are taken off the
air at midnight for aerial adjustments, so the Dave Rogers show is broadcast
on FM only.” |
