de ene treiterschijf (Johnny Reggae) als The sun has got his hat on (die deze

Valentine programme is said to be her last for a
while. At 16.00 in the Dave Rogers show, both short wave transmitters leave
the air, then come on and go off until it is announced that the 31 metre band transmitter will be turned off at 16.30, but,
at about this time, a fuse is blown in the studio, which puts the 49 metre band transmitter off the air as well. It comes back
on at 16.40, but goes off again at 16.50 and does not return to the air until
the start of the International service at 18.00. During the first one and a
half hours of his afternoon programme, Dave Rogers’
timechecks were all wrong by one hour. Aretha
Franklin is the featured artist in In Concert this
evening and the evening newsreaders are Brian McKenzie, Dave Rogers and Terry
Davis. There are two mobile discotheques today – one with Mike Ross and Ferry
Maat and the other with Paul May and Tony Berk. Monday 29 November 1971 Hans ten Hooge
takes over Driemaster from Nico
Steenbergen. News during the evening is read by
Brian McKenzie, Dave Rogers and Rob Eden. Tuesday 30 November 1971 Newsreaders as last night. The new mobile
discotheque shows are announced. Wednesday 1 December 1971 Again the newsreaders this evening are
the same as on Monday. RNI’s medium wave signal is very weak today. Thursday 2 December 1971 Brian McKenzie and Nico
Steenbergen go off on the tender and Mike Ross and
Leo van der Goot return.
Paul May, however, appears to be on two weeks’ holiday. Programmes

are the same as last night. Then the new records that I heard on RNI
during the period 27 November to 3 December 1971 (that were not smash plays
or DJ hitpicks) were:
Other records that were played on the
International service during that week, either because they were in the
British Top 20 broadcast on Sunday evening or because they were the hitpicks of the English speaking DJs, but were not in the
Dutch Super Top 50, were:
