Sugar me van Lynsey
de Paul is deze week de hoogste nieuwe binnenkomer op 30. Onder de nieuwe
binnenkomers zitten een paar plaatjes met grote hitpotentie zoals Mexico,
Wig-Wam Bam, To make my life beautiful en Bottoms up. Veronica van Cornelis
Vreeswijk stijgt maar liefst 20 plaatsen deze week, 2 weken voordat RNI2 de
lucht in ging.
Zoals This is reggae

returns to the Super hit 50 programme today after
his holiday. Tony Berk has now gone on holiday, so
today’s Toekomstmuziek and Muziek
Parade shows, immediately after the Top 50 show, are presented by Peter Holland. Tonight’s programme
schedule is: 19.00 Dave Rogers (International
Prediction Hit 40) 22.00 Tony Allan (Reviews) 23.00 Spangles Muldoon (Kent Request
Hour) 24.00 Arnold Layne 3.00 Spangles Muldoon 5.00 – 7.00 Tony Allan Newsreaders are Arnold Layne, Dave Rogers
and Tony Allan. There are two mobile discotheques today –
one with Leo van der Goot
and the other with Ferry Maat and Peter Holland. Sunday 17 September 1972 Today’s Tony Berk
show is presented by Leo van der Goot and a mobile discotheque features Ferry Maat. Programmes
this evening are: 19.00 Arnold Layne (Hitback
Show) 21.00 Spangles Muldoon (Cloud Nine) 23.00 Dave Rogers (Kent Request Hour) 24.00 – 3.00 Tony Allan There is confusion in the Hitback Show over the answer to the hitback
competition from a couple of weeks ago. The record was “Black Pearl”, but
nobody on board knows whether it was the Sonny Charles or Horace Faith
version that was played (it was in fact Sonny Charles). The problem is solved
by giving two prizes – one to an answer for Sonny Charles and one to an
answer for Horace Faith. Dave Rogers is the DJ who helps to pick out the
winners. News this evening is read by Tony Allan, Arnold Layne and Spangles
Muldoon. Monday 18 September 1972 Lots of mentions for Radio Caroline in
this evening’s programmes, now that the Mi Amigo
has anchored close to the Mebo 2 (albeit not yet
transmitting). Tony Allan says that he was woken up today by a leprechaun and
then plays a record for Ronan. He also plays one for the Mi Amigo and
finishes his show shortly before 21.00 with “Caroline” by the Fortunes.
Spangles Muldoon announces that today will probably be his last programme for RNI as he is going to Caroline – “Across
the way they’ve got the Fortunes as a sig tune, here we’ve got Les Reed” and
“Take 220 and add 39 and what have you got? So to all those on the My Friend
ship, I’ll see you tomorrow”.
Newsreaders are Arnold Layne, Tony Allan and Dave Rogers. Tuesday 19 September 1972 Spangles Muldoon and Arnold Layne go off on
the tender and Brian McKenzie returns. Programmes
this evening are: 19.00 Tony Allan 21.00 Dave Rogers 23.00 Dave Rogers (Kent Request Hour) 24.00 – 3.00 Brian McKenzie News is read by Brian McKenzie, Tony
Allan and Dave Rogers. Wednesday 20 September 1972 Tony Allan is upset as he thinks that he
will have to off the boat tomorrow and therefore miss celebrating his
birthday on board. Dave Rogers and Tony Allan read news this evening. It is
reported that some RNI DJs will be joining Caroline, together with engineer
Peter Chicago. Thursday 21 September 1972 Tony Allan remains on board, but Hans Molenaar leaves on the tender and Marc van Amstel and Mike Ross return to the Mebo
2. Marc van Amstel reads the Dutch news in the
afternoon, whilst Brian McKenzie and Tony Allan are this evening’s English
newsreaders. RNI leaves the air at midnight for aerial adjustments, so the
Brian McKenzie show is not broadcast. Tony Allan discloses what “some of our
friends” had for tea, presumably referring to the Caroline crew. Latest
reports suggest that RNI is installing a second medium wave transmitter for
all day English programmes on 355 metres. Friday 22 September 1972 Terry Davis returns on the tender and programmes change to: 19.00 Tony Allan 21.00 Terry Davis 23.00 Dave Rogers (Kent Request Hour) 24.00 Brian McKenzie 3.00 – 6.00 Dave Rogers Today is Tony Allan’s birthday and on his
programme at 20.05pm he has an interview that he
recorded with David Cassidy. Terry Davis runs through the list of RNI DJs in
his show and neither Rob Eden nor Spangles Muldoon is included. News is read
this evening by Terry Davis, Tony Allan and Dave Rogers. |
